The course made me realised the crucial importance of person-centred approach to dementia care. The knowledge and skills helped me to develop new awareness and ability. I am feeling reassured, supported and be confident to provide effective strategies while engaging vulnerable or complex care for the people with dementia.
This course facilitates me to attain professionalism and enhance my comprehensive understanding towards dementia, people with dementia and the caregivers. Inspired by this course, I learnt to adopt a more person-centred approach. Understanding is just enough but being empathetic will surely make a difference.
The course enhanced my knowledge and spectrum of management in dementia. Through multidisciplinary model and understanding about person-centred care approach, I am equipped with the capability to formulate a management plan for people with dementia in an efficient way. The arrangement of different clinical visits further broadened my view on the implementation of person-centred care model for clients with different stages and types of dementia.
