Advanced Diploma Programme in Dementia Care

Organised by the Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and co-organised by JCCPA, this programme helps professional workers and people interested in dementia care understand dementia from different perspectives and learn about the practical application of cross-disciplinary professional intervention and care for dementia.

Programme Objectives:

  • to address clinical issues in dementia care and service delivery
  • to enhance collaborative efforts and holistic care by the multidisciplinary intervention
  • to strengthen the ethics and clinical assessments in dementia care
  • to analyse existing research, approaches and applications in the local context
  • to develop knowledge and skills in social services evaluation related to dementia care

Programme Duration

1 year (2 semesters), September 2026 to April 2027

Targets

Professional medical and nursing workers providing elderly care services (including social workers, nurses, occupational therapists and physiotherapists), and care professionals interested in a career in dementia care
