Committed to "Holistic Care"

Every person with dementia has his/her own story. The JCCPA team pays attention to the background, mental state, needs and capabilities of each individual. We deliver tailored services and care with a person-centred care approach, in the hope of helping those with dementia to enhance their capabilities and slow down degeneration, so they can continue the story of their lives.

We respect the autonomy of people with dementia and do not impose any constraints to limit their routine activities, making sure they live life with dignity just like everybody else. Our team is keenly aware that dementia affects not only the cognitively impaired individual but also his/her entire family. Our ethos of “Holistic Care” delivers a comprehensive range of services, from brain activity stimulation to diagnosis, care and training, to care for those with dementia, and reassure family members that they have the necessary support to deal with the needs of their loved ones.

JCCPA also offers a selection of special programmes, such as the Jockey Club Caring Communities for Dementia Campaign, the Jockey Club Post-diagnostic Support in Dementia Care Programme, the Jockey Club Discharge Support and Rehabilitation Programme and more. We apply innovative ideas holistically to help people with dementia engage in community living. (Please see  Key Projects for details)
It’s not about their illness. It’s about their world!
