Training Courses for Dementia Care
With the support from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Community Project Grant, JCCPA has launched a new programme “Training Courses for Dementia Care”.
The half-day intensive training course was successfully held on 9 September. Dr. Jenny Lee, shared with over 120 caregivers, focusing on the physical changes of people with dementia at different stages and the essential caring guidelines in each stage. Additionally, she also imparted knowledge about advanced care planning and offered guidance on preparing for end-of-life care. Throughout the talk, Dr. Lee also addressed caregivers’ concerns and difficulties in caring, which greatly benefited them when facing challenges of daily caregiving. We would like to express our gratitude to Dr Lee again for being the speaker and share fruitful information to caregivers.
The next two training courses are scheduled on 21 Oct (Sat) 10am & 1:30pm respectively.
