Jockey Club Caring Communities for Dementia Campaign

Also, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to St. James’ Settlement and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology that paying much effort in this campaign.

By taking the advantage of technology, caregivers could use the guarding-tooth device and crowd-sourcing technology in order to search the people with dementia when they get lost.

As the number of COVID-19 infection case were still in high level, ibeacon would be distributed by courier to avoid public gathering and keep everyone in a safe condition. Simultaneously, online videos and teaching materials were prepared for the caregivers to complete the application as well as getting know more about dementia at their own place. In this month, there were around 20 caregivers received ibeacon.
