During the event, Jay performed the classic hit &#8220;Stand by Me.&#8221; His heartwarming voice captivated the audience, drawing heartfelt applause. Beyond singing, Jay engaged in exercises and handicraft activities with our members, bringing smiles and laughter to everyone present.<\/p><p>We sincerely thank Jay and all the volunteers for their loving companionship. Their presence brought vibrant energy and warmth to the centre, creating cherished, joyful memories for our members.<\/p><p>We warmly welcome more groups to participate in visit and collaboration activities. event was hosted at &#8220;Stone Houses Family Garden&#8221;\u2014a cosy restaurant located in Kowloon City. Our social worker Andrew kicked off the session with interactive icebreaker games.<\/p><p>Following self-introductions, participants paired up for two rounds of Rock-Paper-Scissors:<\/p><p><strong>Round 1 (Fast-Paced)<\/strong>: Partners played as many hands as possible in 10 seconds. Results varied from seven wins to two wins, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the fast pace.<\/p><p><strong>Round 2 (Pause and Choose)<\/strong>: One person showed their hand first, while the other was asked to &#8220;pause&#8221; for three seconds before choosing their move. While some caregivers initially assumed the second player would automatically choose to win, the outcomes were surprising\u2014some chose to win, others intentionally chose to lose, and some chose a draw. Regardless of the outcome, everyone enjoyed the process.<\/p><p>Through this simple game, caregivers gained a profound insight: when facing behavioural challenges or caregiving hurdles with family members, taking a moment to &#8220;pause&#8221; before responding can help identify more suitable solutions.<\/p><p>The open sharing session was equally lively. was successfully conducted by JCCPA board member and Geriatric Specialist Dr. Jenny Lee.
