She shared with more than 140 family caregivers on the basic knowledge of dementia, including understanding dementia, communication skills, different stages of care and care planning. She also addressed caregivers&#8217; enquiries with practical suggestions during the talk, e.g. ways to communicate with persons with dementia when they miss identify objects.<\/p><p>Registration for the caregiver training course in May and June 2024 is now open. The May course will be held on the 18 May (Saturday) at 10:00 am, while Dr. Chan Wai Chi, Clinical Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, The University of Hong Kong, will share about \u201cPsychiatric Medication\u201d on dementia care.
