Mr Chan shared with more than 80 family caregivers regarding how to design a home environment that better supports the care for individuals with dementia. He also introduced home exercises such as grip strength exercises (<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OpPvNrOre2Q?feature=shared\">\u6293\u624b\u64cd<\/a>)<span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">\u00a0and stretching exercises (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KVx5RfDvrZY\">\u4f38\u5c55\u64cd<\/a>) that can help strengthen muscles and promote brain health for people with dementia. During the session, Mr. Chan also provided many practical suggestions to caregivers, such as how to engage people with dementia to use assistive devices and so forth.<\/span><\/p><p>Registration for the caregiver training course in March 2024 is now open. The March course \u201cUnderstanding the Distressed Behaviour of People with Dementia\u201d will be held on 16 March (Saturday) at 10:00 am, by our Service Manager cum Social Worker Ms Vivian Mak.
