Simultaneously, online videos and teaching materials were prepared for the caregivers to complete the application as well as getting know more about dementia at their own place.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">Besides, we have held an online webinar \u201cEmbrace and Engage: The Way Ahead in Building a Dementia-inclusive Society Sharing Session\u201d on 28 July. It was our great honour to have officiating guests and speakers from various corporates and organization and share how to build a dementia-friendly and inclusive society. It was practical and inspiring people from all walks of life.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">Last but not least, we would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to all officiating guests and guest speakers who take part in our sharing session as well as the participants, actively raising questions during the sharing session. Mr. Andrew Lau, registered social worker, has shared with over 150 caregivers regarding the knowledge and tactics on how to take care people with dementia including basic knowledge of dementia, daily schedule and health management, communication and health care skills, community resources and arrangement, etc. He also addressed various enquires from caregivers with practical suggestions during the talk.<br \/><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">What\u2019s more, we have invited a caregiver Ms Lee to share her experience on arranging advance directives and advance care planning for people with dementia which raise their awareness on this issue and get prepared when their elderly was diagnosed.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">The next training course will be held on 20 August (Sat).
