We were honoured to invite seven GPs, to share their precious experience in diagnosis of dementia. Besides, Christmas feast and Christmas gift were also prepared, our frontline staff dressed up as Santa Claus to send out the gift and best wishes to the elderly. Two sessions were held for the caregivers in needs. The first batch of &#8220;Angel Box&#8221; Bluetooth devices have been installed, which could strengthen the network for finding the elderly.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight );\">To quickly grasp the location of the get lost elderly, the number and density of Bluetooth devices were the key. If there are more Bluetooth devices, the time can be speed up and the location can be more accurate when searching the get lost elderly. We have cooperated with KMB and installed the Bluetooth devices at five major bus stops including: Shatin Central Bus Terminus, Tuen Mun Town Centre Bus Terminus, Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry Bus Terminus and Tuen Mun Road Bus Interchange (towards Tuen Mun and Kowloon directions). If the people with dementia wear our ibeacon and pass through the \u201cAngel Box\u201d Bluetooth device, the approximate location will be sent to the caregiver after the server receives the signal. Our social worker and training consultant, Mr. Andrew Lau has shared with over 100 caregivers regarding his observation on the needs of caregivers. He has also answered the questions raised by the caregivers.<\/p><p>Entering 2022, the \u201c1+2 Family Caregivers Training Courses for Dementia Care\u201d will be held continuously, and there will be a &#8220;one day intensive training&#8221; and eight &#8220;half-day training&#8221; in every quarter.<\/p><p>The seminars in the first quarter are now opened for registration.
