G/F - Greenery
The garden provides a wonderful source of sensory stimulation, with sight, sound, light, color, touch and fragrance. All plantings are non-toxic. The elderly can enjoy gardening, meaningful wandering, socialization and thematic activity inside the garden. Scented/flowering plants are designed for both visual and olfactory stimulations.
The wandering path circles back to the starting point and can be interrupted with thematic activity such as enjoying the birds in birdcage, playing chess, gardening etc. The paving surface is glare-free, non-slip, uniformed texture and color, free of irregularities.
The raised planting bed provides an opportunity for gardening for the elderly clients and the wheelchair users. They can enjoy gardening at a comfortable level.
The ramp at the entrance is specially designed for wheelchair accessibility. Handrails are installed to compensate for physical impairment and support safe passage.
The acrylic roof provides sufficient sunlight for the plants and shelter from rain. It is also an ideal covered walkway for meaningful wandering.
Interest focal points provide interest, diversion and destination goals such as birdcage, fragrant flowerbeds, pergolas and so on.
CCTV is used for monitoring and security.
Garden benches are arranged to allow rest, group activities or just a friendly chat with a cup of tea.
